Mentorship

YPP program matches mentors with youth to navigate life’s challenges together, providing advice, encouragement, and a supportive community.

Mentees are youth ages 5-17 who may be experiencing challenges with low self-esteem, poor academic progress, peer difficulties, family conflict or poor decision making.

Mentors commit to meeting with their mentees to set goals and help them achieve their dreams.

STEM Challenges

STEM challenges are activities where students design and build solutions to problems using a combination of science, technology, engineering, and math skills.

Students are presented with a problem they must solve through the design process by building some sort of device. Most challenges are 3-D, but 2-D challenges are possible!

There are a plethora of benefits to accomplishing STEM challenges such as: (1) Application of science technology, engineering, and math skills in the real-world problems, (2) Critical thinking, (3) Encouraging collaboration/teamwork and creativity, and (4) Provides the youth the opportunity to journal their progress and present their product/prototype.

Health and Wellness

YPP has made it our mission to educate and encourage kids to prioritize their health and wellness through a number of activities and strategies. Whether you’re looking to help your child manage stress better, learn about nutrition, teach them about the benefits of yoga and meditation, or educate them on the benefits of living a healthy life, we’ve got your back!

Financial Literacy

Financial habits form young. Youth who are not taught how to manage, value, and work for money- will lack the skills they need to be self-sufficient. This situation may impact, not only on the child’s future finances, but also self-esteem and relationship with money.

Join us as we dive into the exciting world of money management for kids, where we’ll break down complex financial concepts into bite-sized, kid-friendly portions. Together, we’ll explore creative and engaging ways to teach your little ones about budgeting, saving, investing, and giving back, all while having a blast along the way!

Career Development

Students learn about real challenges facing industry leaders, work with professional mentors, and pitch their best problem-solving ideas.

Students can discover new careers and industries so they can start to explore what interests them.

Critical soft skills like creativity and communication are cultivated through quick and easy Skillbuilder activities.

Points and prizes will go to the teams or individual students for Skill-builder expertise.

Seeing the dedication of the tutors and the mentors, is truly inspiring. I love that education is the name of the game and a the common culture practiced within this organization. In just a few months, my kids have started their own small businesses and have made profit within the first month (no help from me). You guys ROCK!

5 out of 7 of my grandchildren are members of this organization and they are thriving. With their parents working full-time and our schedules are conflicting, this has proven to be a safe space for them to grow and learn outside of school. I especially love how they are exposed to various art exhibits and multi-cultural establishments- and come home with a grand story to tell.

I found this organization for their tutorial services in reading and writing. Not only are my kids thriving in reading and writing, but they have now taken an interest in the stock market and other financial avenues. Who would have known.
